James and Anuj are great - so warm and encouraging.  The age range of the classes varies a lot (one man, who is fitter than me, confided he is 30 years older than me, but you'd never know!).  The participants are friendly, from all different backgrounds, and we all encourage each other.

I would definitely recommend Kandu with no hesitation - whatever your level of fitness, the exercises are crafted to you and you can do as much or as little as you need, while always being gently pushed to go that little bit further.

Whatever fears I had about doing an hour's class, with dodgy knees, have been taken away.  Friday 11.30 is a time for me. It's fun, everyone in the group is friendly and we all support each other. James is a fab teacher. He gives other exercises to make it manageable for my knee, which is now gaining more strength and flexibility.

We get videos to look at during the week and even the homework of doing some of the exercises have become easier.

I like forward to each Friday and when I had to work last week and couldn't go I found myself missing the class.

I have been attending Kandu exercise classes for a few weeks now and can honestly say that it is a really good idea to tailor an exercise class specifically for people over 50 who are likely to have developed physical or mechanical problems with their bodies over time. It is reassuring and more comfortable to be surrounded with likeminded people and to feel that you have much in common.
James is a really good trainer with excellent communication skills, a good sense of humour and a lot of patience as we go through the exercises and try to improve our technique whilst ensuring that we don’t cause ourselves any injuries!

Great class with a range of ages and ability. Love the fact that because it is for the over 50's it is neither competitive or high impact and we all go at our own pace. James makes you want to improve yourself even if you don't really like exercise.  Facebook group with its  videos and advice is a good reminder in between the weekly classes. Really look forward to weekly sessions.

Kandu has proved that it 'can do' so much to help the over 50's get back into exercise!  I'm just loving the class as it's tailored to accommodate everyone so that even if you have a sore back, creaking knees or are just generally out of sorts, James will find an alternative way for you to manage the exercise.

The class is so warm and friendly and not in the least bit intimidating, which had been my initial worry in coming back into a formal exercise situation after a gap of quite a few years. The exercise videos and articles about diet and nutrition etc. are really helpful and can be enjoyed (who would have thought I'd enjoy following an exercise video!) at home as a useful supplement to the class.
